Arabic transatlantic passenger ships, 15,000 tons, torpedoed without warning on the way to New York on 19 August 1915 by the German submarine U-24. Despite relatively bader few fatalities, 44 passengers and crew of a total of 429, led the event to renewed anger in the US after sekningen Lusitania on May 7 of that year and the Kaiser Wilhelm 2 in August 1915 ordered a restriction of submarine warfare.
