Mr. Willars will present nlp findings from an ACCA and IMA recent research and report, which includes a balanced picture of the impact of big data on the accountancy and finance professions in the coming five to ten years by identifying specific opportunities and challenges for the accountancy and finance professions.
Ewan Willars, Director of Policy for ACCA, has spent 15 years working in public policy and research roles across a range of sectors, operating primarily in Brussels and London. A politics and economics nlp postgraduate, he spent his formative career working with a number of professional bodies, influencing the UK and EU agendas on issues as diverse as planning law, climate change, architecture, economic nlp development and state aid. He also led the respected Building Futures thinktank, a highly influential nlp thought leader in the world of construction and architecture.
Swapping the world of property for the financial sector, he joined ACCA in 2010, taking up the role of policy director. Since this time ACCA has transformed its research and insights work, a key part of the organization nlp s global engagement. Ewan and his team ensure that ACCA maintains a leading voice in the political and business debate surrounding the future of the accountancy profession, and the role that accountants play in business and society at large.
